Series Project Draft 1

During this series project i was aiming for the spooky dark effect, that gave mystery in my images. Then i realized that there is still more to the objects that i should focus more on the shadows than just the object. I want to also instead of keeping my series project al black and white, and to maybe add some colors but not too much that it pulls away from the image. I want the new images to have this antique setting or this rusty color to the images.  I want to edit my images more with picnic.

  1. I really like your idea for this project and I think it is super creative. I think you got your point across really well, and these are all very good. My favorites would have to be the orange, and the first picture of the crutch. Nice Job!

  2. Pictures 3 and 5 are my favorites. They really illustrate what you were going for; the solemn, dark effect. I think that you should revise your paragraph a little because there are some typos, but overall, good job!

  4. I think you have successfully captured images of various items with a mysterious feel. I like how you used different angles and lighting to make your images look more original. I think all are successful.

  5. I like how each photo is "simple" yet is still complex because of the shadows

  6. these 'still life' studies have the potential to imply stories, or objects can sometimes evoke a mood or idea. the empty chair and cruches achive this. these images also have the most mystery- and the designs are tighter. note how some other images have distracting elements in the edges of the border. try to tighten your design in your frame when shooting. also, are you altering your perspective to maximize each image? most appear to be taken from a standing position looking down.

  7. I think you did a good job of portraying your themes in the pictures. i think the black and white/sepia really works for the images and the shadows. You should stick with those effects. GOOD job!

  8. I really like the focus on the shadows in all of these images. It really strengthens the image to put them in black and white too. Great job!
